Boiled Eggs

Instant pot recipe
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 6 minutes
Additional time (natural release + water bath) 10 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 6 - 12 eggs
  • 1 cup water

Method
 

  1. Place the trivet inside the Instant Pot. Add 1 cup water.
  2. Arrange eggs on the trivet. Lock the lid and set the valve to Sealing.
  3. Press the Egg button and adjust time to 1 minute on High pressure. (It may take 5 minutes to pressurize.)
  4. Let pressure naturally release for 2 - 4 minutes, then quick release the rest. (see notes)
  5. Immediately transfer eggs to a bowl of cold water and let sit for 5 minutes.
  6. Peel and enjoy!

Notes

Press the Egg button and adjust time to naturally release pressure based on your preferred doneness: Always test once with your Instant Pot and adjust as needed, since models and even egg sizes can make a difference.
  • Soft-Boiled Eggs (runny yolk): 2 minute
  • Medium Eggs (slightly jammy yolk): 3 minutes
  • Hard-Boiled Eggs (fully set yolk): 4 minutes
