Air Fryer Salmon

Ingredients
  

  • 1 salmon fillet (skin on) 12 oz
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • 2 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp soy source

Method
 

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380°F.
  2. Prep salmon: Pat fillets dry with paper towel. Rub with olive oil, then season with salt, and black pepper.
  3. Cook: Place fillets skin-side down in the air fryer tray. Cook for ~9 minutes, depending on thickness.
  4. Leave the skin on until after cooking, then peel it off.
  5. Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh scallions after cooking. Drizzle soy sauce on top.

Notes

Cook salmon fillets with the skin on in the air fryer:
  • Protects the flesh → the skin acts as a barrier so the salmon doesn’t dry out.
  • Crisps up nicely → if you cook it skin-side down, the flesh cooks gently while the skin gets crisp.
  • Easier to remove → once cooked, the skin will usually peel right off if you don’t want to eat it.
